Mangawhai Walkway

Mangawhai Cliffs and Coastal Walkway is an excellent beach and cliff-top walkway through farmland and bush areas. The high quality grading of the track has made it one of the top attractions in the Whangarei area.

We walked per the red marking. Started from the car park and headed down the beach and walked along the coastal line. After passed over a rock arch, we had a detour to a cape then we followed the Mangawhai Cliffs Walkway 

back to the car park.

15 members turned up today’s trip. It’s a little long for driving distance, but it’s worthwhile for superb scenery. It’s a very unique and spectacular journey. Walking per the red marking.

It’s a quite special beach, from the sandy beach to the rocky beach with more and more rocks.
這種同時沙岸岩岸的海灘非常稀少，難能可貴的是有細緻沙灘和有奇岩怪石的岩岸。
