Shelly Park Beach and Mangemangeroa Reserve Walkway
The Mangemangeroa Reserve offers a magnificent landscape of farmland, coastal native bush and stunning estuary views on the edge of the city. The reserve is in the Mangemangeroa Valley, an area of significant scenic, environmental and cultural value.


Walk from Cockle Bay (at low or mid tide) or from Sandpit roadend (no tide problem) to access the walkway


Looking out to sea from Cockle Bay, with Motokaraka Island and Beachlandsin the view.


The name of Cockle Bay comes from the shore spreading calm shells...

It could be crossed over at low or mid tide.
