t114_cape kidnapper

Beach walk and Cape Kidnappers Gannet Reserve
The beach to the cape features impressive towering cliffs which expose  many rock types and fault lines. The cape is also the world biggest mainland colony of nesting gannets with over 7000 pairs of Australasian Gannets.  So it’s listed as one of the wonders in the book of "1001 Natural Wonders".
Cape Kidnappers

The cliffs are made up of sandstone, river gravel, pumice and silt, originally deposited between 300,000 to 1 million years ago.

Plateau colony
